I am tyring to establish Dynamic RLS, but when trying to verify my attempt at app.powerbi.com I get following message:

What does it mean? Both types, report and semantic model, are there...

    Hi Orstenpowers ,

Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1.Verify Workspace Location: Ensure that both the report you're trying to test and the semantic model are saved in the same Power BI workspace. This is a fundamental requirement for the "Test as role" feature.

2.Check Report Connection: Make sure that the report you've created is indeed using the semantic model you've applied the Dynamic RLS to.

3.Test in Power BI Desktop: Before attempting to test in the Power BI service, use the "View As" feature in Power BI Desktop to verify that your RLS setup works as expected.

      Dear Neeko,

Thank you very much for your help!

Reg. workspace location; as you can see from the below screenshot, both report and semantic model are saved in "my workspace"

Reg. Test in PBI Desktop: This also worked fine.

Reg. Report Connection: Where can I check whether or not the report is using the semantic model??? I have no idea...

Looking forward to hearing from you I remain

      Best regards

        Hi Orstenpowers ,

Based on your error message, you could try connecting the original semantic model using Power BI Desktop then simply creating a new report and applying RLS, then publishing to the same workspace and testing again.

        Best Regards,
