Duplicate dashboard out of organization

Hi, everyone

We are an IT company that wants to share dashboards and reports to our customers who are outside our organization.

The goal is sharing dashboards and not allow our customers modify them, but they have to be able to copy them and do modifications in the copies(same with reports).

Is there any way to do it?.

Any idea will be appreciatted..

Hi @Angel,

For your requirement, I'd like to suggest you direct share the dashboard to users which outside your organization.

These receivers can access your dashboard, report file and share to other users, but they can't modify your reports.

@Anonymous, It seems users outside organization are not allowed to share dashboards, only see in guest view. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-share-unshare-dashboard/

@Seth_C_Bauer, I agree with you. I think the only way to do it without using service content pack, it's my customers create an account in their organizations that only use my company. In that way, I can share dashboards to other users and these users can't modify them.

Any other suggestion?

@Angel The only other current avenue to explore would be Power BI Embedded. This is developer heavy solution, and would allow you to embed Desktop reports into your application for external clients. The space is growing rapidly as it relates to features and capabilities, it's worth a look to see if it could meet your needs.

@Angel The only way you can share content in that fashion is using Content Packs, but those can't be shared externally... Your only options are sharing dashboards... Or giving them the PBIX file, but that isn't really a good user experiance...
