Duplicate Gateway

Hi,

I added a new dataset to a Power BI report.  That used the same connection as an existing dataset in the report, the connection details of both datasets are exactly the same.  Yet when publishin I'm getting duplicate gateway connection (as shown below, top and bottom connections).

This results in a "There is no available gateway" error and can no longer schedule refreshes.   I've had this happen before and the fix was to delete the report dataset in the service and publish again.  But we can't keep doing that are we then have to put RLS back in, and reissue new links to the report etc (as we aren't using an app in this case).gifgit (1).png

Hi @Anonymous,

that sounds like a strange issue.

Is the import mode of the new dataset different than the other (Import/Direct Query)?

Otherwise I'd suggest you file a (free with a Pro license) support ticket. Go to the support page to file a support ticket.
