I love having the ability to apply custom colors in Power BI. However, there is an issue with the Recent Colors pane. When I first select a Custom Color, all is well and that color shows up in the first position of the Recent Colors box. Step 1 image below shows this. Notice the red circle at the bottom right.
The issue happens when I choose to apply that same color again, this time by selecting it from the Recent Colors. When I do that, Power BI (Both in the Service as well as in Power BI Desktop), another instance of that exact same custom color is added to the Recent Colors. You can see this in Stpe 2 image below.
This keeps happening each time, as you can see in Step 3 image below.
This duplicate Recent Color behavior occurs no matter what you are doing with that color. It can be for Titles, Data, etc.
This obviously makes the use of a custom color pallette very challenging as you will need to keep adding colors over and over instead of adding each color once and using it over and over.
