Due to inactivity, scheduled refresh has been disabled but I and others are using it everyday

Hello All,

I'm facing of a strange behavior of Power BI Service on a report.

Sometimes when I open it I have the message at the top of the page:

gregst_0-1706784586489.png

But I and other people are using this report everyday.

There is no error at refresh.

The link "Learn more" is not usefull at all as it's speaking about the gateway but I don't use it for this dataset.

All the Credentials are correct (no error on the access of the data source).

I don't undersand his behavior.

Have you any idea of what is going wrong ?

Hi @gregst

If a report or dashboard created based on this semantic model is not accessed by a user it is determined to be inactive, and the inactive status lasts for two months the schedule refresh is suspended until the user opens the report or dashboard again. I have read that you said that you and other users use this report every day. In order to better help you, I would like to make sure with you that the usage you are talking about is accessing this report on the service?

The following documents may help you:

Hello,

yes the report is opened on the Service.

The refresh has no error and credentials are validated in the settings.

I don't see any issue justifying the stop of the refresh.

Hey @gregst ,

I know you stated that the credentials are fine but, if you look at the Data source and Credentials in the Service settings for that report, does it have any errors?  It might be that something happened on the back side of the report (maybe the connection failed or a userid or password changed).  It might be that only one data source is not working and so the message it sent to you is not quite the actual issue.

After it stated that it was restarting , did it actually start back up (and is the data current)?

Hello,

None error in the service setting.

All is working fine.

The data are well refreshed everyday with the latest figures available so I really don't understand the message.

Today no more message, maybe I have to wait for 2 months to understand if the issue comes again.

Thanks
