Dropdown slicer not displaying correctly in Power BI Service
Hi Team,
I'm having the same issue as this post below but their solution to turn off the visual header has not resolved it.

In PBI Desktop my slicer displays correctly as a drop down list but when I publish it to the Service I lose the dropdown and it simply displays the whole list.

I have seen several posts reporting this issue. However, I am not able to reproduce it with my test. You may check issues or submit the issues here.Always update Desktop to the lastest version. Try edit the report in Power BI service and change the slicer display setting.

Thank you for responding, I am using Desktop Version: 2.74.5619.621 64-bit (October 2019).
When I edit the slicer in Power BI service I get the same issue. When I save the change and switch from edit mode back to reading mode the dropdown automatically reverts to a list.
Since there are numerous posts about this issue without a solution, I will submit it as a bug for Microsoft to resolve in future version updates

Hi,
I have come across this issue and looking for solution as well.
On PBI Desktop it's a dropdown, however some of the report readers found it becomes a list on PBI Service. Some see it as a dropdown. I wonder why there are differences btw readers?
Please advise. Thanks!
