Drillthrough not working in Service - Very basic example attached - please confirm

Hi all,

Since yesterday we have noticed that a new report being developed seems to be temperamental in offering the right click 'Drill through' option, when accessed in the Service, be it in My Workspace, a Premium App or Premium Workspace.  When I upload it to the service and right click on the value, nothing comes up at all, not even the usual options such as Include, Exclude or Copy?

However, the Drillthrough option works perfectly when in Power BI Desktop, just not when uploaded to the service.

I decided to create the most basic of Test reports - see attached, with a Summary and Detail page, linked by adding a measure 'Units' to the drill-through fields on the Detail tab, but this is also not working when in the service.

Thankfully, all my other reports which offer drill through and which are already in the service, continue to offer Drillthrough, just seemingly not this new report we are developing or even this Test report??

I would appreciate if someone else could try this test report and can see if it works for them in the service or spot where I am going wrong?!

Test Drillthrough.pbix

Many thanks

Mark

Hi @MarkSL

After testing on the .pbix file you provided,I found that when you under old look,it seems like losing all the options  such as Include, Exclude or Copy, including drill through.

After shifting to new look, all the options appear.

Would you pls check whether you are testing under old look?

Hi @v-kelly-msft

Thanks for taking the time to look at this and load my sample report.

I also logged a support ticket yesterday and by the time I got back to work this morning the issue had been fixed!  It was confirmed to be a bug in the service and as you spotted, only related to the Old look.

Very relieved that is has been fixed so quickly, nearly all our reports utilise Drill through and we would have been severly affected if they stopped working!  My users prefer the Old Look, if only for the fact that the Fullscreen button is one click away instead of being accessed via a menu option!

Thanks again.

Mark

This is not the first time I have seen people asking about an issue with the drillthrough.

I do think that there might be an issue and I would suggest installing the latest version of Power BI Desktop as there was a version released on 30 Mar 2020?
