Doubts on Dataflows and Dataset/Report in Different Workspaces

Hi all,

I am licesened PPU, everyone else is Licensed Power BI Pro.

I am creating a Dataflow that is telling me it needs to be in a Premium Workspace.

Can I move the Dataflow to a Premium Workspace and then created the Dataset/Report on another Workspace that is accessible by all other users with Power BI Pro License?

Hey @UncleLewis ,

I am wondering if you can use a non-Premium workspace with the dataflow?  You may already know but it is only certain features in a dataflow that would require you to use Premium.  So, I am wondering about "dumbing down" the dataflow so that it doesn't require Premium?

You will be unable to share with just PRO users.  Since the dataset originates from a PRemium workspace (the dataflow) the report you create in your report will be considered "premium" and only Premium or PPU licenses will be able to access it - regardless of what type of Workspace you put it into.
