Does the Auto Page Refresh work in Power BI Service

Hi,

I am looking for some clarification around the Auto Page Refresh functionality that exists and if this is limited to just the power bi desktop or should this work once I publish a report up to the service ?

I have set the refresh to every 2 mins in the desktop an dthis is working fine , however when I publish this report to the service , the refresh doesn't work. I edited the file on the service and can see that the setting is still set to 2 mins.

Is this functionality designed to only work in the desktop or am I missing a step here ?

Hi @Arranafc19 ,

If you want to configure automatic page refresh, please put your workspace into your Premium Environment, then determine your refresh intervals in Power BI Service like in Desktop. One point you should pay attention to is that if your interval is lower than the minimum refresh interval which is set by your capacity administrator, the Power BI service will override your interval to respect the minimum interval set by your capacity administrator.

Hi @Anonymous , I am currently using direct query but it doesnt seem to refresh till I force it ? Is it the time I am using ?

Yesh , it depends on the workspace and type of license used.

In power bi service that will only work if the data source is Direct Query.
