The dataset id of a report can change or be modified in some scenarios, such as:
- 1. Switching the data source of an existing report from a cached dataset to a shared dataset.
- 2. Transferring the ownership of a report or a dataset to another user.
- 3. Renaming a report or a dataset in a workspace.
However, if you only update the report with new tables and sources, but keep the same data source and owner, the dataset id should remain the same.
