Does RLS and OLS work for those in the same organization that don't have a Power BI subscription?

Can I apply RLS and OLS against people in my organization that don't have a Power BI subscription?.   Thank you

    Hi HamidBee 

     

    Just to let you know that you cannot apply RLS and OLS at the same time. You can do one or the other.

     

    Second is that every person who logs into Power BI would need a Power BI Pro, Free or Premium license.

     

    If you are using Power BI Publish to Web then RLS and OLS will not work.

Thanks, I never knew about the RLS and OLS thing. Just to clarify does a free license mean the 60 days trial that a user who signs up for the first time gets?.

    A Power BI Free license is actually a type of license.


    There is a Power BI Trial license is when a user can try Power BI for 60 days. The trial license is as good as a Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium Per User license.
