Does PPU License Contains Copilot in Power BI Service?
Hello,
I recently read this article stating that Copilot is accessible for users with Power BI Premium capacity (P1 or higher) and Fabric capacity (F64 or higher). However, the article didn't specify whether the Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license, as shown in my attached screenshot, includes access to Copilot.
Could someone clarify if purchasing a PPU license would grant me access to Copilot? Additionally, if the PPU license doesn't include Copilot, is there an alternative option for individuals to use Copilot without needing an organizational license?
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Anonymous ,
No, you will need an organizational license. Here is another article which confirms it:

That's a great question about PPU licensing and Copilot access. From what I've seen, PPU doesn't include Copilot, it's generally tied to Premium capacity or specific Fabric SKUs. If you're looking for an AI assistant that works without those licenses, you might find PowerMind interesting. It embeds directly into your dashboards and doesn't require Copilot licensing. You can check a quick demo on the LinkedIn post I shared to see how it works in practice.
