Hi @Mahesh0016 ,

Microsoft Fabric does now natively support direct integration with GitHub for deployment pipelines in the same way that Power BI integrates with Azure DevOps.

Git Integration: Fabric's Git integration is currently limited to Azure DevOps Git repositories within the same tenant.

Deployment Pipelines: Fabric's deployment pipelines are primarily designed to work with Azure DevOps Git repositories and do not offer native support for GitHub repositories.

While native support is absent, you can implement a custom CI/CD process using GitHub Actions in combination with Fabric's REST APIs. This approach requires manual setup and scripting to handle authentication, artifact management, and deployment tasks.

Thanks,
Bhavin

Hi @Mahesh0016

As of now, Microsoft Fabric does not natively support direct integration with GitHub for deployment pipelines in the same streamlined manner that Power BI deployment pipelines integrate with Azure DevOps. In Power BI, Azure DevOps integration allows for seamless source control, CI/CD automation, and environment promotion directly through the Power BI Service interface. However, for GitHub, while Fabric supports versioning and source control for items like notebooks and data pipelines through Git integration features, there is no official, built-in deployment pipeline capability that connects Fabric workspaces directly to GitHub in the same fashion. Organizations that wish to use GitHub for deployment workflows in Fabric typically need to implement custom solutions using REST APIs, GitHub Actions, and Fabric's support for Git-backed items. This requires more manual setup and scripting compared to the out-of-the-box DevOps pipeline experience. Microsoft has indicated ongoing investment in Fabric's extensibility, so more robust GitHub support may be introduced in future updates.
