Does Excel honor PowerBI Role based security
I have a PowerBI report in Import mode. The report also has role based security defined either in a static manner or in a dynamic manner using UserName() function. Now I create an Excel Pivot Table report connected to the PowerBI DataSet. When I run the report will it honor the role based security definition ? Will the user see only that data which is permitted for that role ?
Hi.
As long as the Excel Workbook is connected directly to the Semantic Model, RLS should indeed still be applied.

Hi, Sanjay_Shah
Thanks for Jonvoge's reply. As Jonvoge said, RLS still works in Excel, here are the test results.
