Do built-in usage metrics pull in data from "Embedding for your customers" using custom web apps?

We have premium gen2 and are starting to build custom web apps that will embed our Power BI content for our customers using the "app owns the data" approach. When I pull usage metrics from PowerBI.com, will the metrics pull from the content that's embedded in our custom web apps?

The new usage reports do show the information for an embedded report.  This article explains this in detail:  Monitor usage metrics in the new workspace experience (preview) - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

The usage report tracks the usage of the report and to my knowledge whether it is embedded in something "custom" or something "standard" (like SharePoint page) I think it works the same.
