Displaying dashboard on Samsung TV browser

Hello guys,

We got a problem and can't find the proper answer on the forums. We just bought 4 new Samsung smart TV's (UE49K5600 if it helps) and we were planning to mount them all side by side on the wall for displaying dashboards. We expected that the TV browser would be able to display the dashboards correctly, but after logging in on powerBI (that works) the screen keeps loading and after a time freezes. All the tiles which do appear in the top bar are unclickable.

Does anyone know a solution for this? Is it even possible to do this on the TV browser, or do we need to hook it up on an external device?

Thank you!

Hi @NickScheffers,

According to this article, Power BI is currently supported in the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Edge
  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Chrome desktop latest version
  • Safari Mac latest version
  • Firefox desktop latest version

So you may need to hook it up on an external device which has one of these browsers installed. Or you can try using Intel compute stick as mentioned in this similar thread.Smiley Happy

Old thread but I've been using the raspberry pi 4 for this and have had more stable results than the intel sticks. Not sure if anyone else is trying that.

Were you able to find a solution for this? We have a similar problem where we have embedded our dashboard in a web app on a touch-screen monitor but want it to be clickable (meaning we want the user to click on a tile in the dashboard and be taken to the underlying report).
