Disable workspace creation for all except one security group

Hi everyone,

 

I am looking to not allow users to create workspaces in power bi service and only keep it enabled for one security group so I tried below in admin center. 

Even after applying this, user outside of this security group is still able to see 'create a workspace ' option when he logs into power bi service. Am i doing something wrong? Please advise.

    Hi Anonymous 

     

    It might be that the person has Power BI Admin rights?

      Nope, he is a regular user. Is this the way correct way to restrict people from creating workspaces?

    Hi Anonymous 

     

    Yeah that is 100% correct.

     

    Could you maybe also make sure that the user is not in the Group assigned permissions to create App Workspaces?

    HI Anonymous 

    Did you got any solution for the same? I am facing same issue. when i enabled "Create Workspace (New Workspace expreiences) to certain security groups. Normal User (Which are not part of those security group + doesnt have admin rights) are still able to create workspaces. Do we have to change somehitng on O365 side?
