Disable datarefresh for a single table in PBI Service

Hello, guys.

I created a report using one dataset from my company's server and one from my PC (.xlsx).

After finishing the report, I disabled data refresh for the local file (.xlsx)

I published the report at PBI service, and when I try to set the data refresh for the file I have on the server, using a gateway, it also tries to connect to the local file of my PC.

Any idea how I can disable the refresh for the local .xlsx file, in Service?

Thanx in advance!

Kostas

Hi @kostask,

If you would like to exclude queries from refresh, you just need to untick Include in report refresh option. Managing query refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

But there is one thing you need to know is that even you have disabled the refresh of a query/table, you still need to provide credentials for the connect to your data source.

Here is my data source table.

After excluding the refresh for the query of this data source table and configuring credential in Power BI service, as you can see even the dataset is refresh successfully, visual data from this data source doesn’t be refreshed and updated.
