Direct Share not Working

I have a Power BI account with a Pro license. Until a few days ago, everything was working fine, from updating reports to sharing them. However, for the past two days, I’ve been encountering an error whenever I try to directly share any report that is already present in service workspaces with recipients who also have a Pro license (and who receive daily emails from us). I immediately receive an error message saying, "Report wasn't shared. We ran into a temporary problem, try again to share the report."

I’ve been seeing this message for the last 2-3 days. I’ve tried clearing my history, cache, and cookies, but nothing has worked.

Does anyone know if this might be a bug, glitch, or a new error on the service website?

Hi @Rakshhitt_1_2 - The issue you're encountering with sharing Power BI reports is currently affecting some users and could be related to a service-wide problem. Microsoft has noted various issues with Power BI sharing features, including intermittent errors when attempting to share reports, which might be the cause of the error message you've been seeing: "Report wasn't shared. We ran into a temporary problem"

Solved: Receiving error message when sharing power bi repo... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Ensure that your Power BI Service is fully updated, as sometimes recent updates contain fixes for such issues.

Clear Cache and Restart: While you’ve already cleared your cache and cookies, restarting your browser and trying an incognito window may also help bypass session-related issues.

Try Power BI Desktop: If sharing directly from the Power BI Service continues to fail, you can try publishing the report from Power BI Desktop again and then share it from the Service.

Hope this helps.
