Direct Query vs Import and Premium license
We have set up the vnet gateway and the odd thing appers:
When I set up the data source with direct query and then in Power BI service configure add the gateway connection - refresh works fine.
When I set up the data source with import and then in the service configure the same gateway connection - the refresh fails with:

I do have the premium license. This the exact same data source and the exact same one table to test it. It is the exact same gateway.
Has anyone seen something similar?

Hey heikkoe ,
In reviewing the limitations for using Vnet, there is one that states: "This feature is available only for Power BI datasets, Power Platform dataflows, and Power BI paginated reports". There may be other limitations that are causing this issue for you - I would review this article: What is a virtual network (VNet) data gateway (Preview) | Microsoft Learn
