Direct Query connectivity to Impala on AWS

1.Can we use built in Impala connector to connect to Impala hosted on AWS

2.Does it support direct query on AWS?

3.Does it require a gateway?

4.If Import method is supported ,does it support automatic refresh?

Its urgently required for deciding on solution that includes selection of the BI tool

Thanks!!

    HI aravindh10,

#1. I don't think you can direct use AWS built-in connector to get data, maybe you can try to use power bi Amazon Redshift connector to get data.

#2. Yes, Amazon Redshift connector supports both 'import' and 'direct query' mode.

#3. You need to enable schedule refresh on your data source.

You can also take a look at following link about how to use power bi get data from AWS data source:
Connect data from Amazon AWS Services
