Direct Lake - Shortcut - date to date/time
Hey,
we are running a lakehouse on ADLS. we are exploring to use direct lake options of fabric using shortcuts.
So one of the (delta) tables has a field of type DateType(), but when I inspect this table in Direct lake using a shortcut, it's changed to date/time. When I use this (shortcut) table in an semantic model in PowerBI we get the following error:
Which is correct, some of the dates are outside that range. The question I have, is the direct lake shortcut suppose to change dates into date/time ? manually changing the datatype in semantic model did not solve the issue.
I'm not looking for a workaround, just would like to know if this is a known issue and if others faced the same problem
kind regards
Thanks, I could get it working by saving my date column as stringType in the delta table (still use a shortcut) and set format to date in the semantic model. But would be nice longterm if this step was not needed

Hi RudyS ,
Sorry, so far, to my knowledge, this may not be achieveable.
