Different users see different results in same Power BI report published to the service
- 5 years ago
Yes! We engaged Microsoft support and they found that it is actually a bug in the service. They did help us find a workaround. The issue had something to do with the report users setting their own filter on the report in the service and then when we updated the report with no filters and posted the new report to the service, it was somehow maintaining what the user originally selected even though it did not appear that they had selected anything. The only way to fix this is to have the end user select the reset filters icon at the top of the report (if highlighted in yellow, it means there are filters applied). The challenge is that the end users have to do it and they may not realize that they aren't seeing the correct data. Hope that helps!
Hello Lisa , i have encountered the same issue recently and it got fixed by republishing the report to the app. On the workspace, the values were same as other others (with zero filters applied). But on the app, it had different results. It's a strange case of how it can happen to a specific user, but it got fixed by republishing.
