Different date values in Power BI desktop and service

Hi all,

I have a strange issue in Power BI desktop and service in cloud. My dataset is from SN via ODBC driver. On my citrix where I have gateway,Power BI desktop and set up region & language US a date time also US. When I refresh data in Power BI desktop on my Citrix I see correct dates(the same as in SN). Problem is when I upload report to cloud. Then on my computer in browser I see EU dates + 9 hours). Have you seen it before?

HI @Anonymous,

Current power bi service only support utc datetime, if you are setting to local region date, it will auto convert this to utc.

The above link doesn't seem to apply to the issue I am facing... In my case, I am trying to compare two dates. In Power BI Desktop they are seen as equal while on Power BI Service they are seen as different (or vice versa). In other words it seems like one of the dates remains the same while the other is "converted" to UTC date/time. I have tried different conversions and/or formatting, but still no luck. I can of course design my test with the Power BI Service behavior in mind, but it'd be great if what I see in Power BI Desktop is what I get in Power BI Service (WYSpbidIWYGpbis :-)) Has anyone a proven solution to address the issue I am seeing?
