Hi everyone,
I am doing some Power BI Usage analysis, and would like to know the differance between these two concepts in Power BI Operation and how each works: Generate Screenshot and Get Snapshot
Appreciate if anyone could please share some ideas. Thanks

Hi @SnasNP
Generate Screenshot | Get Snapshot | |
Purpose | This feature is typically used to capture a visual representation of a report or dashboard as it appears at a specific moment in time | This feature is used to capture the data and state of a report or dataset at a specific point in time |
Functionality | When you generate a screenshot, Power BI captures the current state of the visual elements on the screen, including charts, graphs, and other visuals. This is useful for sharing a static image of your report with others or for documentation purposes | When you get a snapshot, Power BI saves the data and the state of the report as it is at that moment. This can include the data behind the visuals, filters applied, and other settings. Snapshots are useful for historical analysis, allowing you to compare data over time |
Usage | This is often used for presentations, reports, or when you need to share a quick visual update without the need for interactive elements | This is often used for auditing, tracking changes over time, or maintaining historical records of your data and reports |
Hope this clarifies your doubt.
