I recently learned that Power BI service refresh time is in UTC but I would like to know if it also affects my slicer dates.
I have a calendar table with a Date column
I have a data table that has a many-to-one relationship with the Date column of the calendar table. Slicer uses the Date column from the Calendar table. When the user selects the dates in the slicer while in a report in service what date is used? Is it UTC or my EST dates?
The reason I ask is because for examples when I select dates started and end dates of July 4 in the Power Bi desktop my results are correct but when I do the same in service the numbers are slightly off
Hi @stribor45 ,
As per my understanding it will show EST times. You can check with your report user if he is seeing any issues in that case you can go through this thread-
I hope it will be helpful
Thanks,
Sai Teja
I was curious about whether when I select dates in slicer are they converted in UTC?
Hi @stribor45 ,
From my experience your schedule doesn't change anything on the reports. And the dynamic changes clearly depends the transform steps or configurations which you have made while building/publishing the reports. If your user have any issues then you can think about it.
Thanks,
Sai Teja
