Hi Anonymous,
Here are steps to migrate the reports:
- Install Data Gateway on your PC/laptop. It is required when your data is stored locally but reports are in a cloud. Here is a link to download it - https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/gateway/ and link to the instruction from Microsoft - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-onprem
- Map your Power BI Username with PC login (Windows). Example - http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Report-couldn-t-access-data-source-in-Direct-Query-mode/m-p/340255#M38513
- Open your reports in Power BI Desktop and publish them to Power BI Service
- Go to each dataset and enter credentials, then set a refresh frequency

I can agree with that when your database is not on your drive or you are able to connect to it externally, then you can use Gateway on a server, otherwise when database only locally on your PC - no.

Yeah if you have the data only on a computer, then you are a little stuck. Wherever possible, avoid having the data source on a computer. Get it onto a server, a database, or a cloud provider.
