Hello,
do anyone knows what this error is?
When I try to deploy from one workspace to another it gives this error so I can't deploy anymore.
I'm using 2 powerbi embedding capacities. Till few days ago it was working good.
The source is from a worskpace assigned to a capacity located in west europe, the destination is a worskpace assigned to a capacity located in north europe
I am facing the same issue. I am trying to move items from west us to east us.

Hi @Gabry ,
It's been a while since I heard back from you and I wanted to follow up. Is the problem you are currently experiencing resolved? If the issue has been resolved, can you mark the post as resolved? If you're still experiencing challenges, please feel free to let us know and we'll be happy to continue to help!
Looking forward to your reply!
Good morning @v-xingshen-msft ,
thank you for the follow up.
Nope the bug is still present, we still can't deploy. Same issue as before, when we try to deploy we get that error
Based on my support ticket, it's a known issue with a fix being worked on.
Fix is expected November 10th to November 16th.
Hi @dom99 - do you have confirmation the issue "Can't deploy workspace (not in your region)" on deployment pipelines has been fixed please?
My temporary resolution was to get the target workspace moved to the same capacity as the source capacity.
Were you able to solve your problem? It's 14th already. I am asking because I am facing the same issue..

Same issue here! North to West Europe
Has anyone found a solution? Or is there any official update from Microsoft?
Same issue. Last week we were deploying fine and without errors. This week we started receiving this error. No changes have been made on our end to environment settings, regions, capacity, etc., and we confirmed that the multi-geo setting is on (as it always has been).
Same thing happening for us. We have a deployment pipeline with US regions and Germany regions and can no longer go between the two. Nothing has changed on our end and this worked before.
Also experiencing the same issue with our system. Worked for a deployment end of last week and now we are experiencing this issue. We are still able to deploy reports/datasets manually but it is a MUCH longer process.
Same issue here. I'm trying to deploy from North Europe to West Europe.
This never was a problem before.
Hi, Did you manage to resolve this? Having the same problem.
Other replies do not address why it was working a day or two ago and now it is not. It must be a bug introduced by Microsoft.
Hi,
I’m still experiencing the issue. I followed the suggestions from v-xingshen-msft, but as you mentioned, we were able to do this just a few days ago, and now it's no longer possible. It might be a bug, so I’ll wait a bit and see if it resolves.
Hi @Gabry ,
Hello and thank you for your question!
According to your description, you are encountering a Region Capacity Unavailable error when trying to deploy from one workspace to another. This issue is usually related to inter-region capacity allocation or Multi-Geo configuration, especially if the source and target workspaces are located in different geographic regions.
Possible causes and solutions:
Regional capacity mismatch: The Multi-Geo feature of Power BI Premium allows content to be deployed between regions with some limitations. If you are using Premium capacity, make sure that your source and target workspaces are configured to meet the Multi-Geo requirements. You can also refer to the Power BI documentation for detailed configuration instructions for Multi-Geo.

Capacity Rights and Allocation Issues: The system may block cross-region deployments if the user lacks allocation rights. Also verify that the user performing the deployment has permission to allocate capacity in the target workspace.
Checking service status and updates: As Power BI services are frequently updated or maintained, capacity allocation across regions may be temporarily limited. So I would suggest you to observe the issue for some more time to check if the issue still exists and we will keep tracking the issue.
We hope you find this information helpful. Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!
Hi @v-xingshen-msft ,
Is there a way to solve this issue? Is it a known issue?
Please help.
