Deployment Pipelines for reports with Live Connection

I currently have two reports that share the same dataset published, hence are connected to that dataset via live connection (as suggested by power bi best practices)

I want to use Deployment Pipelines but unfortunately I am not able to set any datasource rules for these reports in the Deployment Pipeline and it's the final missing step to our CI/CD deployment workflow that's missing.

I would like to connect the reports in DEV, with power bi DEV dataset (Semantic model), and the reports in PROD to power bi PROD dataset (semantic model) via live connection, but when I try to deploy via deployment pipelines it ruins that.

I've seen other posts about but no one seems to know the answer, does Microsoft have any roadmap updates about this issue? Anonymous  v-jiascu-msft
