Good Afternoon All,
I have been having issues with deploying content through a deployment pipeline, have never had issues with this workspace for the past 4 months.
When deploying things from stage 1 to stage 2 (Dev to Test environments) the comparison and deployment works absolutely fine. However, when trying to deploy from stage 2 to stage 3 (Test to Live/Production) the comparison will not load and displays the error message in the below screenshot "Stage can't perform a comparison". After a few refreshes and waiting it will display that all content is different (even though only 1 item is) and it will eventually correctly compare after more refreshing. Have there been service problems today?
Refresh the comparison page repeatedly
Sometimes it takes several tries before the comparison syncs correctly.
Clear browser cache or use incognito mode
This prevents stale tokens or sessions from causing UI errors.
This is also happening for me today. Usually few minutes waiting on the page helps. But the UX is horrible.
Today it is happing again to us is there a solution jet!,

Did anyone find the solution to this ? I have admin access for both Workspaces and owner of most reports but can't see comparison between QAT and Production
I opened a case with Microsoft, they are releasing a fix on all PowerBi Clusters, starting tomorrow...your cluster should get resolved in the next couple of days.
We are seeing this problem and refreshing / waiting is not helping. We started seeing the issue on 7/10/25 which is monthly release day so it seems like a bug has been introduced. Any support from MS would be great.

We've had some teams experience the same issue, and the only way to fix it has been to create a new pipeline and deassign/reassign the workspaces to equivalent stages in the new pipeline.
Some teams have also had issues with Git Integration since today (content Uncommitted or conflicts with content that has not changed), not sure if it is linked.
I got the same issue, the comparsion never comes up. The deployment pipeline performance is slow recently
Thanks for sharing this. It seems that the latest status update indicates the deployment pipeline issue has been resolved. However, we are still experiencing the same problem. Are you seeing the same on your side?

Will circle back with the team that had the issue, it may take a while for the fix to be propagated to all Azure clusters. There's also a new issue with Data Engineering across all regions:
Let's just say that the July release has not been the most transparent one...
It works but it is extremely slow. You have to wait even you see the stop icon. The comparison may be come back in half an hour or even an hour. Depending on your workspace.
Microsoft support did suggest we re-create the pipeline. However, it is painful to reconfigure all rules again.
switching to the old UI allowed it to come up but it took several day for the issue to resolve itself - we never had any response from our open ticket with MS that was being worked as to what caused the issue and we did not make any modifications.
I'm not sure if this is a global issue, but our Power BI service is hosted in the EU cluster, and we've been experiencing the same problem since Monday. The deployment stages are blocked, even though the capacity performance appears to be sufficient.
Yesterday afternoon, the pipeline briefly returned to normal, but the behavior was unstable. Today, it's blocked again without any clear reason.
Agree, my service in UK and face similar issues. It happened since early this week and the deployment pipeline is slow and unstable. It fails to do comparsion most of the time. I keep on spending my luck on refresh the page and wait. All pipeline deployment are pending in my org.
So frustrating, Can Microsoft support really take a look
I'm having the exact same problem, out of nowhere Pipeline is not letting me compare between QA and Production on either the Old or New UI. Did you find a way to resolve the problem?
I found Edge browser more stable, you can try if it work for you

My deployment issues have not been as bad since (although I have only deployed a couple of things since) but I do still get false comparisons appearing that then correct themselves on a refresh. It has only been since the new UI change that these issues have occured, have any other threads been raised on this with answers?
I was not able to find any other open threads, did you apply any steps to resolve it or it was fixed automatically?
