Decomposition Tree - Not Ordering when published
- Anonymous5 years ago
The issue has been solved . You can republish your report to Service and then try to sort by measure in your report in Service .
I tested it and everything works fine .

I have the same issue here. If I add multiple fields under "explain by", I can choose those, but not the measure. If I have only one field under "explain by", I can only choose between ascending and descending, but not which field.
In the Power BI desktop app, everything works as expected and I can choose the measure or one of the "explain by" fields to sort by.

This was working fine for my reports a few days ago.
In PBI Desktop decomposition tree is sorted in descending order by the base "Analyze" measure across all "Explain by" fields. Had the report published as an app in PBI Service for a few weeks and worked exactly the same. Can confirm this in a training video I made about the app from a couple of weeks ago.
Then today I viewed the app and the sorting is now in ascending order of "Explain by" fields text labels. I'm the only one with permissions on the workspace and app, and I've made no changes.
Plus, the pbix file still works the same, so republished to PBI Service and updated app but still the same sorting by labels and no option to change it.
Appears some change has been made to PBI Service, but have no idea who to speak to about it. Please would someone fix this.
