After uploading a CSV, PowerBI service decided to show the date hieararchy in Japanese. No one including me on our team speaks Japanese, and my region is set as English (United States). The desktop version uses English dates just fine. What's causing this?

Hi, @jxutj
In this case, you'll need to rebuild from scratch, starting with English as the Power BI language, or manually create columns in Power Query to define English month names based on date information. You can refer to the following link:

The language is set as the default browser language, English. Nonetheless reuploading the data file to the semantic model has fixed it somehow, so I'll mark it as the solution.

Is there an option to set the PowerBI Service language? The settings menu doesn't have Regional settings. Add the locale in Power BI for Power BI visuals - Power BI | Microsoft Learn seems to be outdated because the web interface keeps changing!
Since the language is set correctly in Desktop, I'll build there for the time being.
Hi, @jxutj
Click Settings, and select the General.
Then we can see the Language.
