Hello,
Since the march 2022 update its no longer possible to manualy type a date in a date slicer box for our users.
When i select the imput box for the date it directly shows a date picker and im not able to change the date with the keyboard
When i publish a blank pbix to the services created with the latest version of powerbi desktop the slicer is functioning fine and as excpected.
The tip i got is to open the old pbix files and republish them to the service. However the date slicers keep the old format.
Recreating all the dashboards is not a option because of the size of the files, this will take a long time.
The old reports also do not show the calander icons (see screenshot).
how do i update the pbix file to use the latest version of the slicer?

update:
I did some digging in the different pbix files by opening them with winrar.
there i see a difference in de basetheme json file
the json is located in "Report\StaticResources\SharedResources\BaseThemes"
In a new file the base json is 'CY22SU03.json' (march 2022)
In my old files the base json is 'CY21SU11.json' (november 2021)
I treid replacing the file via winrar but this does not have any affect.
How do i upgrade the old file to the new basetheme json..
the content of the old file json for the slicer part:
"slicer": { "*": { "general": [ { "responsive": true } ] } }
in the new json it looks like this:
"slicer": { "*": { "general": [ { "responsive": true } ], "date": [ { "hideDatePickerButton": false } ], "items": [ { "fontColor": { "solid": { "color": "#252423" } }, "padding": 4, "accessibilityContrastProperties": true } ] } }
Hi @Bart_Poelert ,
Can you try download the pbix file from the Power BI Service and open it with the latest version and save it as a copy. And publish the copy to replace the original report on service.
Best Regards
