Hi,
I connect to Power BI data set via excel, a simple table with a few measures and a date column. The date column is valid, set as the date type in Power BI Destkop (before publishing), has only valid YYYY-mm-dd values, but when I put it into the filters section in Excel's pivot table it doesn't aggregate the dates to years/months.
Is there a way to fix this?
Best,
R.
Hi, @rylach
Excel PivotTables do not support drag-and-drop aggregation of numeric fields. Your dataset in Power BI must have pre-defined measures. I'd like to suggest you refer the official document .
If it doesn't help, you can ask for further assistance by creating a support ticket.
Best Regards
Allan

Can you post sample data or a screen shot or something?
Sure.
This is my column in Power BI Desktop and then the same column in the pivot table connected to the corresponding power bi data set. The date should be in (1) folded to years, and in (2) aligned to right (which indicates number values).
