Hi,
I would like to keep the date and time format (UK format) the same across all possible pbi outputs but despite all of my app and browser settings being accurate as far as I am aware, the format is still inconsistent. See below:
Required Date/Time format | dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss | 07/08/2023 11:23:58 |
Required Short Date Format | dd/mm/yyyy | 07/08/2023 |
Required Medium Date Format | mmm yyyy | Aug 2023 |
Required Long Date Format | dd mmmm yyyy | 07 August 2023 |
Power BI Desktop reflects all of the above accurately.
Power BI Service reflects all of the above accurately.
A fixed image export to ppt or pdf reflects the above accurately.
However, a live export to ppt or a subscription to the report through power bi service makes the below changes:
Output Date/Time format | m/d/yyyy hh:mm:ss XX | 8/7/2023 11:23:58 AM |
Output Short Date Format | m/d/yyyy | 8/7/2023 |
Output Long Date Format | dddd, dd mmmm, yyyy | Monday, 07 August, 2023 |
I am using MS Edge, the language setting is English (UK)
My MS Account region and language settings are both set to English (UK)
My Windows country is UK, Regional format is English (UK)
Windows Regional formats:
Short Date: dd/mm/yyyy
Long Date: dd mmmm yyyy
Short Time: hh:mm
Long Time: hh:mm:ss
In Power BI Desktop, the Application Language uses Windows default display language (English UK)
In Power BI Desktop, the Model Langauge uses the Application Language (English UK)
In Power BI Service, the display language uses default (Browser Language) (English UK)
Why does a live export or a subscription not follow the defined region/language settings and how can I fix this?
