Date Slicer type defaults to published state - not possible to change

I've found a bug and serious limitation in the Power BI slicer component, which affects a huge number of our clients. I hope there is a workaround or something I'm doing wrong, but I've spent an enormous amount of time on this so far.

I've created a reports using date slicer. Set the slicer type to "Relative Date" at the started and publish it to the service. Users didn't like "Relative" date, and preferred "Between".

1: Users can't change the slicer type to "between" in the power bi service - the header bar won't show in "Read" mode in Power BI Service

2. Editing the report in the PBI Service to change the type also doesn't work - once you save it, defaults back to its original state it was deployed.

3. I've changed the Power BI Desktop file numerous times to "Between" and re-published - the date slicer would always revert back to "relative" in the Power BI Service.

Is there anything I'm missing here? Hard deletes of reports is not ideal in our scenario. Any help will be appreciated

Hi , @HVenter

From your description, the issue occurs only for one specific report when you  change the slicer type in Power BI service, right?

For the issue, I cannot reproduce it here.Everything works fine on my side
