Date Format showing US date format instead of Europe

I have set date format to DD/MM/YYYY in my Power bi report using Power bI desktop, but when i publish it onto Power BI service date format showing as MM/DD/YYYY ,
I eventually managed to publish the report so another colleague of mine could see it. He sees the correct data format. So as it stands, two of us see the US format, and one of us sees the European format. We have extremely similar setups. We’re using the same browsers. It’s a mystery.

For the record, I have tried clearing the browser’s cache. I have also tried looking at the report on different devices (Windows laptop, MacBook Pro). I always see the US format.

Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous ,

The data format depends on your broswer, OS setting the account of your Office 365, please check the language, region of your OS and broswer, sometimes, the account you login to broswer can also affect it, for example, you are using an European Google account login Chrome.

Here is a vedio which discusses about it, please refer to it: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/tech-tip-thursday-how-the-power-bi-data-region-is-selected/

Best Regards,

Teige
