Date Filter applies wrong date format

Hi,

we have a report that has been developed with PowerBI Desktop Version 2.76.5678.782 64-bit.

It used to work for months, now starting from last weeks we are experiencing an issue on a date filter.

N.B.: the issue is not present in the Desktop app but only in the report opened via web service.

The filter corresponds to a field associated to Date type with format dd/mm/yyyy.

The first issue that we experienced is related to the time selection in the date filter: when we change the time using up and down arrow it also change the date, changing it format from dd/mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy.

For example, if we select 01/05/2020 and then we increase or decrease the time (hours or minutes) it shows 05/01/2020. Every time we increase or decrease the time, the date switches from 01/05/2020 to 05/01/2020 and viceversa.

We noticed also that if we select a date that is not valid in mm/dd/yyyy (e.g. 15/05/2020) the time selection is blocked.

In general the filter behavior seems to consider the date format as mm/dd/yyyy.

For example if I open the calendar selection I can see dates of the current month (May).

If I select for example 1st of May (01/05/2020 in dd/mm/yyyy) is then shown as 05/01/2020.

If I open again the calendar it shows dates of January, as if I previously selected 5th of January instead of 1st of May.

My pbix connects to external datasource with private data so I believe I am not able to share it with you.

Best regards

    Hi,

the issue is not presenting anymore, even if we didn't perform any change to our report or data model.

I assume it was a bug in the tool that has been solved.

    We can close this case.

    Regards
