Datatype difference in Power BI Desktop vs. PowerBI Service

Hi All,

 

Is there any documentation in which shows how Power BI Desktop treats various datatype vs. how Power BI Service treats the same datatype in the Desktop?  I'm getting some visual errors in Service with results of some DAX expressions (UNION) but no errors in desktop.  The funny part is the refresh of the data is working but visual isn't, so I assume it's data type related due to the dependency.

    Hi IncursioML1 ,

     

    Are you saying for example in Power BI Desktop the column is date type and it became text type in Power BI Service?

    Or just display format different?

    Do we have detailed information, like screenshot?

    And does this happen randomly?
