I have a Power BI report/dataset that merges several files from my SharePoint.
Whenever I wanted, I would open Power BI web, click on refresh, and after 3 minutes everything was updated.
This used to work perfectly until today when I would update it on the WEB this morning.
Just to be clear, I am not using a Gateway, only a web connection with SharePoint to read the files.
The funny thing is if I do a 'Save As' with the file and publish it under a different name, this new file (which is identical to the old one) works perfectly.
I've already tried saving the file, overwriting it with the same name, and the update problem still persists.
I can't delete the old dataset because I have many reports linked to it. I was hoping that republishing the file and overwriting the old one would have the same effect as publishing a new file, but it seems that it doesn't.
Any Thoughts?
Thank you
Thank you @Idrissshatila . Really appreciate it. Let me join in this discussion.
It's as if PowerBI missed a DatasetID reference behind the scenes.
Hello @wribeiro ,
I've experienced this as well and I saw people here experience this, check this thread
https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/Poor-Refresh-Performance-only-in-Service/m-p/37251...
it may be some sort of an issue that microsoft should fix.
