Dataset refresh error notification mail does not include tenant info

The notification mail with header "An error occurred while processing the data in the semantic model" has a link to the dataset where error occurs but it does not include the ctid (aka tenant ID) so i can not understand which dataset has error and link does not work cause i'm administrating many tenants as a consultant.

Power BI’s dataset refresh error notifications don’t currently include the tenant ID (ctid), which definitely makes it difficult for consultants and admins who manage multiple tenants to quickly identify where the issue is coming from, especially when the provided link doesn’t work. As mentioned, a practical workaround is to leverage Power Automate to create custom alerts that pull in the tenant ID along with other key dataset metadata, so your notification emails are more informative.

Alternatively, you can use the Power BI Admin APIs or Microsoft 365 Audit Logs to extract the refresh failure details along with the ctid, and automate a notification process that includes this information. While not an out-of-the-box solution, these approaches can save you a lot of time and confusion until Microsoft enhances their native notifications.

You're right, currently, Power BI dataset refresh failure emails do not include the ctid (Tenant ID) in the message body or link. This creates confusion for consultants or admins managing multiple tenants.

As a workaround you can try creating Power Automate Alerts: Create custom alerts with ctid in email using Power Automate + dataset metadata. Or Use Admin APIs / Activity Log: Get tenant info (ctid) from refresh logs using Power BI Admin API or M365 Audit Log and automate to get the email.
