Hello,
We are encountering an error while refreshing our dataset in Power BI Services from a Snowflake source (The gateway is not used). The error message states: "The refresh operation failed because it took too long to complete. Consider reducing the size of your dataset or breaking it up into smaller datasets." We are currently using P2 capacity and Large-size in Snowflake. Our data model is relatively simple, consisting of 18 "small" dimensions with hundreds to thousands of rows and one "large" fact table with 1.2 billion rows.
The query to retrieve the data from the fact table in Snowflake completes within 3 minutes, but the refresh from Power BI fails after 5 hours with the above error.
We need to determine if this is truly a capacity issue and Power BI is unable to handle this dataset, or if there is a way to gather more information about the refresh and resolve the issue.
Thank you so much for your help!
