Dataset - no refresh schedule and free users cant manually refresh

Dear BI Experts, 

I created a report which uses a) an xlsx stored in share point and b) connected a secondary source which uses direct query via Dremio.  When I published this report Power BI has created a new Dataset in which  a) + b) are combined. 

I see in lineage that two sources a) sharepoint online + b) direct query from dremio are feed into the datasource that was created.

Unfortunately PBI wont let me set scheduled refresh. Is this because of the two sources beeing migrated ? 

I wanted to auto refresh cuz the excel will be downlaoded from a user with a free licence. The user is not able to refresh data source at all. So I hoped Id just set hourly refresh

As a solution I tried creating a source out of the excel itself but when doing this on PBI web then it wont recognize the table with an error message. I really dont want to have to go into the file each time to create a table with CTRL+T before I save the file. 

I dont know why this happens as when I load the same file in PBI desktop power query recognizes the table without issues.

Any ideas that can help ?
