Dataset is updated with no errors, but the data in report on Power BI service is old

Hi

The dataset related to the report has a scheduled update everyday and is successfully running without any errors. However, in the report itself the data is old (even though it says that it has been refreshed that day). Everything works perfectly in Desktop app.

Refreshing visuals doesnt work, refreshing the dataset by going to My workspace->Datasets and Dataflows->triggering the update there does not work as well.

The only way to resolve this was to press on (...) go to see related content and from there manually trigger the update of the dataset. Then the problem disappears. BUT, this is the manual step and only I as the owner of the dataset can trigger it.

Do you have tips on how this could be solved?

Hi @Anonymous

Why are you using

to share reports?

Try to publish your report into a new Wrokspace and re do the test

Sorry by "My" workspace, I meant my teams workspace, not my personal. So the problem is not based on that.

Do you have any idea what it could be given the info above?

The info above doesn't help me to understand, like what do you mean by

So to recap my report visuals do not update with the new data, despite the dataset refresh happening everyday without errors. Moreover if I trigger a dataset update manually here

the data in the visuals is still old. Pressing refresh visuals does not help. So this is my main problem.

What I have noticed helped to get the latest data was going to that same dataset but from a different menu...

refreshing my dataset manually, and then pressing "refresh visuals"

Like ive said, its the same dataset so I have no idea why it works here, but not with scheduled refresh. Im not happy with this as I am the only one who can trigger the update, and its manual.

Any ideas what could be the reason?
