Dataset is unable to connect to Personal Mode Data gateway In PowerBI service

I built a test Report using a on-premise SQL server db ( Adventure works sample) which had windows authentication set in it . However when I published the report on Power bi MyWorkspace , the dataset was not able to connect to the gateway even though I have the gateway installed on Personal PC .

The report works well on my PC but when I have uploaded it doesnt work as it is waiting for the dataset to be connected via Personal Gateway

Personal mode -

Data Source settings on PowerBI desktop

In Power BI service I see the Personal gateway

But my dataset is not showing the available personal gateway

Yes my original report seem to built with Direct Query mode hence it was not successfull

Now I was able to create a report using Import mode( see below) and was able to upload and see all the connections work

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please confirm your report is created with import connection type, because personal model gateway only support this type dataset.
