Dataset created from Dataflow is showing Refresh Error

I have created a dataset (DS) using a Dataflow (DF) and published DS into the Workspace to refresh, but it’s showing the timeout error after refreshing for more than 5 hours. I don't know where to put the timeout value in Dataset when it is created from Dataflow. Can anyone please help?

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

Firstly,  if your dataset is too large,  it will fail to refresh until you filter the data model back down under 1 GB.

Secondly, you may improve the performance for the data model, see Power BI performance best practices , Power BI Performance Tips and Techniques.

And you may try to specify appropriate value in “Command timeout in minutes (optional)" , then check if you can  refresh successfully in Power BI Desktop.
