Dataset Refresh hangs forever

I have a data set connected to a dashboard and report.

I have set up scheduled refresh.  Scheduled refresh keeps turning itself off even though I am not receiving error emails or any indication of errors in the data.  When I try to manually refresh the wheel just spins and spins and nothing happens.
