Post PatronDatamart and SAP BW Application Server - missing feature that are available in PBI Desktio?
Hi all,
I did set up a datamart that is using a SAP BW Connection as one of the sources.
Somehow, I can not change/add any dimension when the steps are loaded and the query has finished - there is a step called "added items" - but the gear wheel that I see in the Desktop Version is missing. This means I need to add any missing dimension into the M-Code, what can be annoying due to technical names, just time consuming.
In the Desktop version, I can click the gear wheel and seamlessly add additional dimension to the query via the User Interface:
Or do I miss sth. in the Datamart world?

Based on my understanding on these applied steps in the Power query/Power query online, actually the "wheel" option in the Power query/Power query online stands for the configuration detail for one specific data transformation step, it stands for one part of code within the M code in the "Advanced editor", so you can feel free to open the "Advanced editor" to modify and apply the same M code with data transformation step as you did in the Power BI desktop to achieve the same data output:
As you can also see, the "datamart" feature is still in the preview stage so please feel free to wait for the feature improvement before the GA, thanks!

that is exactly what I meant - I can apply the steps manually in M - but the feature that I miss is that I can directly navigate to the User Interface. It makes things much easier - I do not have to search for the technical names (as they are required for SAP BW in PBI). Its doable, but a flaw right now.

Based on my test and research, it seems that double-click on the "Source" step of this query can also help you navigate to the UI page of this step and makes things much easier. Would you like to make a try for the SAP BW data source in the Power query online also?
