Datamart No Access

Hello. I'm in an Active Directory group that has admin access to a premium workspace. Another member of that group created a test datamart. When I click on it to try to run queries I get an error as follows:

Something went wrong

The operation failed as you do not have access.

 

Either I fundamentally don't understand how to access and/or share Datamarts within the service (and so please enlighten me) or something is terribly wrong, right?

    Hi   robarivas ,

    According to the official article description, 

    In the Power BI service, members of a workspace have access to datamarts in the workspace.

    However, the status of this feature is currently in preview, so there may be some problems and it is not very perfect.

    Hi robarivas ,

     

    In addition to being a Premium user, you also need to have had the datamart specifically shared with you.  So, either in the Grant People Access under Manage Permissions or under the share option you have to be given right to "build content"

      So I checked the permissions for the Datamart and it has me listed under Permissions as Admin (Owner). Yet I still get the error.

       

      Also, if I am already part of an AD group that has Admin-level permissions to the entire workspace then it seems redundant, annoying, and unnecessary to have to grant access to each Datamart specifically.

      Eventually this issue seems to have resolved itself. Just an artifact of being in an early Preview state as far as I can surmise.
