Hi All
The new feature of Datamarts looks very interesting. I wish to know more about its applications and usage in terms of its impact on performance (if any).
We have Premium capacity, we often have issues of dataset failures due to resource exhaustion, will use of datamarts help in this case.
Will the data retrieval in the reports be faster?
Currently we are using Composite models - all the modes - direct query, import and dual, can we move to datamarts?
is there any limitation on usage of DAX or in general what are the limitations of datamarts?
thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous
The first thing to note is that datamarts will use some CPU and memory as part of your premium capacity. So this potentially might cause even more usage exhaustion.
In terms of using datamarts, right now it is a preview and version 1. I expect it to get better and more robust over time. I personally would not use it for production workloads.
And right now the DAX works, but can be a challenge to use. It will no doubt improve over time.
